A/N:Yeah, I know my rabid fans want me
to update. Well rabid fans, I’ll have you know just one thing…
There is a locked door
between us. It will neither bend nor break.
If they could all have what they really wanted…
1. Haruno Sakura would
have it so that Sasuke fell in love with her. In the end of it all, she would
die alone in her husband's mansion; buried much in the same way that she lived,
the Lady Uchiha interred alone with only her name.
2. Yamaneko Ino would have
so that she had the child of the man she loved. Though Shikamaru would,
eventually, leave her, she would get to keep their son. He would have blonde
hair, blue eyes, and whisker marks.
3. Akimichi Chouji would
have it so that he would never have to be a shinobi. Instead, he would be the
caretaker of a "butterfly garden" and he would try very, very hard to
keep the butterflies away from the graves.
4. Hyuuga Neji would be a
prince and not a slave. He would then realize that even without the Seal
on his forehead, he is still just as caged.
5. Subaku No Gaara would
never have been born a demon and no one would fear him. Yet, even after
becoming Kazekage, Gaara would still be as alone as he had ever been with
Subaku inside of him.
6. Orochimaru would find
immorality. After his death, the hundreds of children's poems he wrote in his
spare time would turn him into a famous poet and find him achieving immortality
in his words instead of his trying to bind shadows in the dark.
7. Lady Tsunade would
unify all of the Shinobi Nations and create a peace that would last many, many
years. Unfortunately, the war that would bring on this peace would claim the
lives of everyone she ever held dear and the resulting stress would claim her
own life in the long-run.
8. TenTen would finally
have Neji recognize her for a woman instead of just a partner.
After bearing his child, the resulting fall-out between the noble Hyuuga and
her family would see Neji disowned and, for once in his life, happy with
complacency.
9. Rock Lee would become
the best shinobi there ever wasThen, he would realize just how lonely it
was at the top and spend the rest of his life trying to get back to the bottom.
10. Subaku No Kankuro
would never have to kill anyone with his puppets and would revolutionize
the art of Kabuki with the use of his puppets. Morbidly, his audience members
would note that t hey looked just like humans.
11. Hidan would become the
Messiah he had always wanted to be and, instead of fighting for a dream he did
not believe in, he would die for one that he did.
12. Anko would never have
tried so hard to become Orochimaru's apprentice and would instead leave to
train with Lady Tsunade. Even though life would progress much the same anyway,
she would still end up hating Shizune just as much for joining Orochimaru in
her stead.
13. Shizune would have it
so that Lady Tsunade never became the fifth Hokage. The fact that shinobi like
Hatake Kakashi and Mitarashi Anko made her feel so utterly useless would
have nothing to do with this -- it would be because the ANBU made it so that
Tsunade didn't have to be protected anymore.
14. Asuma would stop
smoking and stop trying so hard to be a "good" all-around shinobi.
After finally applying himself to something, he would become the next Hokage
and his first act would be to destroy the Sound Nation. Unlike the fifth
and the third, Asuma is not a sentimentalist
15. Subaku No Temari would
have it so that her mother never died and her father was never assassinated.
Even though this would mean that she would lose two of the most important men
in her life, Gaara being insane and having to keep Shikamaru at an arm's length
balances out the death of her parents and the joy of having both Gaara and
Shikamaru alive quite nicely.
16. Yuuhi Kurenai would
have it so that she knew her actual parents. That this would include her
finding out that Itachi was her actual half-brother and that
Orochimaru was her father is something she willl not dwell on,
hopefully.
17. Kabuto would have it
so that every single soldier in the Sound Nation was an exact copy of
Kimmimaro. By creating a clone-army of the "perfect soldier", Kabuto
would make it so that only he was the most unique shinobi in the Sound.
18. Deidara would make it
so that she was never cursed. Incidentally, this would mean three things: one,
the Akatsuki would never have been interested in her. Two, her artwork would
never have been as good. And three, Deidara would be a "he" instead
of a "she".
19. Shino would have it so
that Hinata would never have to rely on someone else to be strong.
Incidentally, a mission gone wrong would see Kiba temporarily blinded for a
week, Akamaru deaf, and Shino himself paralyzed from the neck down. Hinata, who
had gotten out of the blast-radius of the Sound-Nin's jutsu without permanent damage,
would have to lead her team to safety. Thereafter, Shino would never think it
weak to have to rely on others.
20. Kiba would have it so
that Akamaru outlived him. A cosmic-joke would have the dog, who would live to
be fifteen, technically out-living him by a year when he died of old age.
21. Sasuke would have it
so that his family never died by his brother's hand. This, however, would make
little difference as he would make the same mistakes anyway and it would wind
up being Itachi and not Naruto that he would end up fighting at the Valley of
the End when he tried to defect to the Sound. Unlike Naruto, though, Itachi
would give him no quarter and Sasuke would die -- slain by the very same
man who wanted to save him.
22. Kakuzu would have it
so that his talents would be put to good use as a mercenary and he would
become one of the most powerful men on the continent. Ironically, this would
lead him to being assassinated in the long-run by the Akatsuki when the
organization fell on hard times.
23. Hoshigake Kisame would
have it so that he didn't look so inhuman. He believes, maybe all too
fervently, that that is the only thing stopping him from being normal.
24. Hatake Kakashi would
have it so that he was known for being himself. Not the Copy-Wheel-Eye
Ninja, not the son of the White Fang, not that bastard Jounin that never passed
a team or the ANBU drop-out that knew close to a thousand jutsu; but himself
-- Hatake Kakashi, master of an illusion called "control" and the
greatest failure that ever walked the Earth.
25. Uchiha Itachi would
have it so that he was as heartless and as powerful as others believed him to
be. That to this day his brother is still alive and breathing is testament that
he is not.
26. Hyuuga Hinata would
have it so that Naruto would get whatever he wanted in life. That this would
lead him into the arms of Ino and the position of ANBU General at the same time
only means that Hinata was right about one thing: she only needed Naruto to be happy
all along.
27. Uzumaki Naruto would
have it so that his father didn't die protecting the village that hated him and
that he knew who his family was. He would be very much surprised,
however, to find that both family and village are almost one in the same.
