Dead last should have just curled up and died, like the true failure he was.

What is this power? And what was that red chakra?

“What are you?!” Sasuke managed, holding his arms in front of him to shield him from the oppressive chakra. Naruto just stood there in a partial crouch, his formerly blue eyes glowing with a red demonic fury as the tempests of a youki-driven whirlwind blew around them, stirring the waters and nearly making them boil. The very rocks of the Valley of the End seemed to shake in fear.

“I am…” the blond genin began, in a voice a couple of octaves lower than it should have been. “…your friend!”

“I’m making you a promise right now, teme!” Naruto spat, a clawed right hand extending forwards, glowing with that murderous red chakra. “I’m never letting Orochimaru have you!”

“This hand of mine glows with an awesome power!”

“Its burning grip is telling me to defeat you!”

Naruto rushed forwards, his hands clasping around what looks like a glowing red sword screaming “Take this! My love, my anger, and all of my sorrow!”

“SHINING FINGER!”

And the world turned white.
