Chapter 18

“Welcome to hell? Can’t you come up with something more original scarface?” Naruto asked. Everyone turned to Naruto like he was crazy. Sakura attempted to sink into the wall because she was embarrassed. Ibiki looked at him and gave him a scary smile.

“So you’re taking this exam? I think this has just gotten much more interesting.” He said

“Ha, you don’t scare me.” Naruto said

“Is that so? Well, we’re just going to change that, won’t we?” Ibiki said with a sneer

“Bring it on you scratching post.” Naruto said. The two glared at each other before Ibiki returned his attention back to room.

“Now, the instructors will give you a number and that will be you assigned seat. So hurry up and get ready for the written exam.” He said. Naruto went pale.

“W-W-Written exam?” he stuttered

“I see you’re taking after your little girl friend over there.” Ibiki joked

“Shut up!!!” shouted Naruto who was red in his cheeks.

“We’re not like that.” Said a blushing Hinata.

“Whatever, just get your number and take a seat.” He ordered. Naruto and Hinata did as they were told and got their numbers.

Naruto cursed for the millionth time. He could believe his luck. After a brief explanation of the first part of the exam and the most ridiculous rules ever created, he sat there and looked over the test. It wasn’t like he couldn’t do written exams, he just hated written exams. This exam looked like it was designed for people to fail.

‘How the hell am I suppose to answer these questions?’ He thought. He looked at Ibiki. The man looked at him with a smile. Naruto growled at him. ‘Stupid scarface, he’s just enjoying my suffering. Screw him; I wonder how the others are doing?’ He looked out of the corner of his eyes and noticed that Hinata had veins coming out of the side of her face. He knew that this was a sign of the Byakugan, her dojutsu. ‘Why is she cheating? Doesn’t she know that they’ll disqualify her?’ That’s when he noticed that the Suna-nin was cheating as well. He even saw Akamaru running past him and going towards Kiba. Then it hit him. They wanted them to cheat. Now that he knew what he was suppose to do, the question was how to do it. That’s when he noticed the Sound-nin with the head plate was answering every question. An idea came to him and he smiled evilly.

The Sound-nin wrote his answers with the help of his female teammate. His other teammate was having no problem as well. They had figured out the hidden meaning of this test as soon as it began and were easily killing these chumps. He just sat back as he finished the last question and awaited the end of the exam. He had a satisfied smile on his face until someone bumped him and caused him to spill everything on his desk on the floor. He growled and whipped around to the offender.

“Hey, watch it you,” he shouted but stopped in mid shout when he was staring in the cleavage of a Konoha-nin.

“Oh my, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to.” She said in a sweet voice. He looked up to see a pair of pretty eyes, rosy lips and a very tight uniform

“Hey, what the hell is going on?” shouted Ibiki

“Sorry taichou, I was just going looking over the test and I knocked his paper down. Don’t worry, I’ll get it.” She said. The woman bent over and started to pick up the nin's stuff. She even added a little wiggle that got everyone’s attention. The tightness of the skirt added a bit more allure. The hormones of many males, including the examiners, rose while all the females growled and snorted in disgust. She stood up and placed his stuff on his desk.

“Again, I apologize for this.” She said

“No problem baby, maybe after the exam we could get to know each other?” he asked with a suggestive tone.

“Oh, you’re so funny.” She giggled girlishly

“Ok, that’s enough. Get the hell out of the room.” Ibiki ordered

“Oops, sorry taichou.” She said. Sending a wink to the Sound-nin, she departed the room. No one saw the smile that was on her face.

Naruto relaxed now that the test was over. After Ibiki had tried to pull something, Naruto stood up to him and called him out. Ibiki was impressed and had passed everyone. Ibiki explained the meaning behind the first exam. He even showed his many scars that he received to prove his point. Naruto was as affected like the others since he had seen his scars. Suddenly, he felt a familiar charka.

‘Oh no, Oh hell no, it can’t be.’ He thought. He gulped as a black cloth came flying through the window. It opened up to reveal Anko.

“Ok, you maggots, this no time to celebrating. I’m Mitarashi Anko and I’m the examiner of the second part of the Chuunin exam.” She hollered

‘Why me? Why is it always me? What have I done to receive such punishment?’ Naruto asked as he sank down in his seat. He didn’t sink down far enough as Anko caught site of him.

“Hey Naruto-kun.” She called out to him. He didn’t answer and attempted to hide. “Hey, get you ass up from the floor and answer me.” The future Chuunins were chuckling as Naruto stood up. Anko walked up to him and slapped him upside the head and yelled at him for his disrespect. Naruto was red with embarrassment as the lecture continued.

“Anko, the exam.” Ibiki said

“Oh right, we’ll talk about this later.” She said to him and turned back to the room. “Okay maggots, get up and follow me outside to the next part of the exam.” Everyone did as she was told and filed out.

“Hey Naruto,” said a voice. Naruto turned to see Shikamaru walking up to him.

“What’s up Shikamaru?” Naruto asked

“Just wanted to commend you for that move you pulled to pass the test.” He said. Sasuke and Sakura turned to them in confusion. Naruto laughed and rubbed the back of his head.

“You noticed it huh? Well, I figured that either you or Hinata would have noticed. I even had that scratching post fooled.” He said with a chuckle

“What are you two talking about?” asked Sakura. “I was watching Naruto the whole time. He was scratching his head in fear.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised if you got every question wrong.” Sasuke boasted

“Well, I didn’t answer any question. Someone was kind enough to donate his test paper.” Naruto said

“Donate?” the two said in confusion. Shikamaru sighed at the two.

“The female examiner.” He groaned

“You mean that scantily clad Chuunin? What about her? She thought she was so cute with that giggle and was so flirty by exposing her chest and butt to everyone. Probably even thought that those whisker marks were…” Sakura turned sharply to Naruto. Her eyes rose in knowing while Naruto had his foxy grin on his face.

“You did not use that technique.” She said

“And you thought that it was a dumb technique. Now bow and give thanks to the greatest technique to ever be created. The one, the only, the Oiroke no Jutsu.” He cheered. Everyone attention was again drawn into the conversion.

“But how did you do it? You didn’t even move from that spot.” Sakura shouted

“And how did you even make the switch without the Sound-nin knowing about?” Sasuke asked

“Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, duh. As for that test, you can easily place a genjutsu seal when everyone is distracted.” He explained. As Naruto explained what happened, Ibiki did notice the seal that was on the Sound-nin’s paper. When he dispelled the illusion and took off the seal, he got a not so nice comment. A smiley face with fox ears and the word ‘SUCKERS’ on it. It was then he realized who had just passed without getting caught. Back at the walk to the second testing area, those who were listening in on the conversion began to realize what Naruto had done. Many of the males, including Kiba and Kankuro, were gagging at the scene. The Sound-nin who was tricked was screaming bloody murder and promised revenge against Naruto while his female teammate was laughing her ass off. Anko was laughing so hard that she had to hold herself up with the help of a tree. Naruto just grinned and did nothing.

“I have to say that was pretty smart dobe.” Sasuke said

“Yeah but you have to pay the price for such a plot.” Shikamaru said

“What are you talking about?” Naruto asked. Shikamaru pointed to the group. He turned and almost had a heart attack at the various glares from the females. The Suna-nin reached for her giant club, Tenten reached for various weapons and Ino cracked her knuckles. He smiled nervously until he felt the mother of all killing intent. He turned slowly to the face the wrath of Sakura.

“NA… RU… TO!!!” She growled. Naruto gulped and prepared himself for the pain that was about to be inflicted.

Kakashi, Kurenai, Asuma and Gai were sitting in the jonin lounge. Suddenly an irate Ibiki entered muttering about stupid, smartass blondes and stupid examiners thinking with their lower brains. They were all confused by that when they felt a huge killer intent. Suddenly, there was a boom and a loud girlish scream. All of them realized that it was close to the second testing area.

“I wonder what that was.” wondered Asuma

“Is something wrong my eternal rival?” asked Gai. They turned to see Kakashi with his hand on his face.

“That boy just doesn’t know when to shut up.” He sighed

Naruto’s eyes began to open and groaned as he sat up. He rubbed his head and winced when he discovered the bump on his head.

“Ok, I remember being hit by a powerful force that resembled a fist. After that it’s all a blank.” He said

“That’s the jest of it dobe.” Naruto turned to Sasuke’s voice.

“Oh, sleeping beauty is up. Now we can get started.” Anko said

“Why didn’t you start without me?” Naruto said

“I don’t feel like explaining it a second time. Now shut up and pay attention before I feed you to Raijin.” Naruto calmed up after that. She turned back to the group and started to explain the second part of the exam. Everyone paid close attention as she explained about the training area, the scrolls and the killing. There were questions thrown around but Naruto paid little attention to it. Suddenly several Chuunins appeared and had with them several forms.

“What are those?” Naruto asked

“Those are release forms. Since there will be killing in this exam, we are giving these to you to sign so that we won’t be responsible for your lives.” Anko explained

“Wow, I can feel the love you have.” He said sarcastically

“Shut up and get your scroll.” She growled. As Naruto walked to his team, he noticed that he was getting some glares. He looked at them and glared back.

“What the hell are you looking at?” he asked. Before anything else can happen, he dragged away by Sakura.

“Are you trying to get killed? You all ready have half of the crowd after you.” She said

“All right, all right, I get it. I’ll behave.” He said and walked up to meet Sasuke. “So, what did we get?”

“The Earth scroll and we have been assigned to gate seven.” He said

“All right then, let’s get going.”

“Hey Naruto, come here for a second.” Anko called out. The blond walked up to her as she knelt down to face him.

“I just wanted to say, you know, be careful and all.” She said nervously. Naruto gave her a grin.

“I would hug you but that would mess up your image and stuff. I’ll be careful though.” He assured her. Anko smiled and hugged him.

“This never happened.” She whispered

“Got ya.” He whispered back. Unknown to them, there was someone watching the touching scene. He gave an evil smile.

“Interesting. Ku, ku, ku.”

Authors’ Notes: Sorry if this chapter is kind of short. I didn’t feel it necessary to go through the whole first part of the exam or Anko’s explanation. Hope you like it.
